Possible to fake sentry mode?

    Is it possible to keep sentry mode off while keeping on the screen effect that comes on with the red circle when an "event" occurs?

    The point being to save battery while still having a bit of a deterrent effect.

    The main "drain" is the car remaining awake.

    Which you'd need to do what you want.

    You can run sentry without having a USB key in there if you don't want to record for some reason, but the car can't both be asleep (saving power) and also be triggering on sentry events to display a warning.

    I'd like to be able to suppress the flashing light when the Sentry mode get activayed, to make it not noticeable...

    Agreed. I'd rather have a stealth mode where it records everything but doesn't draw attention to itself.
