Pothole Avoided!

I was driving on the TCH in Moncton today on NOA/AP when my 3 avoided & maneuvered around a pothole staying within its lane,it caught me by surprise! There was a yellow bump sign on the shoulder before the pothole & I think it recognized the sign,amazing! It was aggressive but not out of control. It did not avoid the other potholes with no sign so I think it requires a warning to avoid potholes. Next incremental step recognizing potholes or debris on road.
I will take photo of sign & pothole next time I’m in Moncton.

It didn’t slow down at all,kept the same speed & maneuvered around pothole while staying in lane.

That’s odd, I didn’t think that feature was in testing yet.

I know Elon’s talked about it on twitter, but it’s WAY too soon for it to show up.

Definitely interested in seeing pictures, because my X can’t see potholes yet.

That’s is extremely weird. If Tesla can see that, it should be all over the locals roads, ‘cause there’s tons of similar potholes here.

I’m very interested in if this is a repeatable phenomenon.

Perhaps the machine learning aspect of the software recognizes that, not as a pothole, but as a legitimate object that could be hit, say a bumper piece left on the road?

Most likely it identified a white paint on the right side of the pothole as a lane marking and that was the reason for the maneuver.
