A couple things to check ...

Has your car been upgraded to 4G/LTE, or is it possibly still 3G? If 3G, then could be a case where you're having issues getting a connection to AT&Ts 3G network, which I believe may be slowly getting decommissioned.

The other thing is are you seeing other indications of inconsistent behavior of the MCU? If so, and the eMMC chip has not been replaced, you may be seeing beginning symptoms of erratic performance related to a dying eMMC chip. If this is the case, then doing a reset of the MCU (press/hold two scroll wheels) may bring function back, at least for a little bit.
