Probability of Autopilot becoming standard when Model 3 ships?

What type of auto pilot will the model S and X have?

Oops...I forgot. The Model 3 will have far less features than the Model S and X....sooo....... maybe there won't be any auto pilot.

Does the competition for the Model 3 have auto-pilot?

Has anyone seen any mules that were not being driven by the person in the drivers seat?

Since they've already said it will have all the same AP hardware as the S and X it will, most likely, have the exact same AP and FSD features.

Elon said the average selling price would probably be around $42k. Not sure what he thinks people will want, but I would think most people would want autopilot or full autonomy.
Judging by the design of the car, Elon thinks everybody and their dog wants Autopilot.

That price is probably barebones + autopilot because why do you need all those fancy other options in a taxi?

Autopilot convenience features will almost certainly not be standard. Elon has been saying this since literally day one of the Model 3 being announced. He even said it during the first 5 minutes of the big reveal speech.

Elon has consistently held this position - he's told crowds, Twitter followers, and shareholders at the meetings. No one at Tesla has contradicted that position, either. And why would they give it away? It's a cash cow that costs them nothing except maybe 10 cents of mobile bandwidth to turn the flag in your car after you order it. All the AP hardware will be there - Tesla has already said that plenty of times, and it's right there on the autopilot Telsa page. So the option is to charge $3000-$8000 (which most people will pay for), or give it away for free and lose thousands of dollars of potential revenue for each Model 3 sold, or to raise the base price of the Model 3 and get criticized by every media outlet for lying about the price. It's a no-brainer.
