Question about jacking up Y and changing rims

I've jacked up my MY with a floor jack with no pucks. The top of my jack is a small plate, so it fits on the jack points without issue.

I suspect they are handy, prevent issues with some jacks, and reduce the chance of a costly error though.

Just be careful. There is a hole to insert the pad as a mounting point on purpose to prevent bending the battery shell. Corvettes have a similar set up requiring a pad.
