I read on a thread a reference to this annual maintenance item from the Maintenance Schedule / Service Intervals:
“Clean and lubricate brake calipers every year or 12,500 miles (if in an area where roads are salted during the Winter)”
I set up a service appointment and just received an estimate of $236.25 for this work. It refers to “Brake Caliper Pad Slides,” but I dnever mentioned a problem with the brakes, only referring to the maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual. Is that what others have seen? See attached.
(BTW, I scheduled a Mobile Service call from the Tesla app, but received a text that this service couldn’t be done through Mobile Service. I believe that this is consistent with the experience of others, so I’m not surprised.)
Thanks for your thoughts.
