I ordered a MY base that shows 279 miles of range on their order page. Then, Tesla shows we inventory for these 5s to 60 models How can you tell, without the VIN (as they don't list it) if the car has USS and/or HW4?

Thanks for the quick reply. At least it won't have an Atom UI processor.....If you buy new inventory, no USS nor HW4.
If you buy demo, 99.99% no USS/HW4.
No MY in the US has LFP yet.Last quick question… what batteries are in the base Y these days, the iron LFP battery that can and should be charged to 100%, instead of 80%, like the high nickel 21700s?
Are you certain? I had thought they were transitioning over late last year. Lost track of it as sold my MYP for mint last summer and now the wife wants one to replace her Subaru. That came after I let her one pedal drive my Rivian. She was “afraid”!to drive the Plaid! No MY in the US has LFP yet.
LR and P are 2170s and AWD with 279 miles is Austin built 4680 MY AWD. It's not LFP chemistry. They're all NCA. IMO range is king so I'd spend the extra for a MYLR. At highway speeds I'm getting closer to 330 Wh/mi so that's around 220-230 miles on my 2023 MYLR and that's in FL so no cold weatherConfused for a moment. The LFP was in the RWD variant, that’s off menu, I think. Right now the order page shows only three variants- AWD, LR AWD, and Performance AWD. So, in the US, all on menu MY’s are AWD and nickel based 21700s. Is that correct?
Does the LR have the dual castings, or just the rear? Is Austin paint better than the water based Fremont paint? Fremont vs Austin build quality these days?LR and P are 2170s and AWD with 279 miles is Austin built 4680 MY AWD. It's not LFP chemistry. They're all NCA. No LR has the giga castings, even if it’s built in Austin.
Only the standard MY AWD. The giga castings require the 4680 structural battery.
The SR RWD variant that was available in US for a few weeks in 2021was NOT equipped with LFP either. Currently, LFP MY SR RWD are available in other markets, but not in the US. Keep in mind that LFP is heavier for the same energy output, probably the reason for Tesla to put it in SR RWD version only so far.Confused for a moment. I am curious. What is the advantage of having a single giga casting?Well, that does it for me. Since the wife doesn’t drive far, and since we also have a Plaid and Rivian, we have range when needed.
Car is structurally stronger and supposed to be lighter but so far 4680 MY AWD has less range than LR and they weigh practically the same. I don't think the 4680 battery offers an advantage over 2170 battery but I'm sure it will in timeI am curious. What is the advantage of having a single giga casting?
First, there are two castings, one front and the other in the rear. A structural 4680 pack binds it all together. Benefit = tighter tolerances and near zero panel gap issues. Rigidity improved. Suspension does what it should, without what it’s mounted to flexing as well.I am curious. What is the advantage of having a single giga casting?
