His result is P90D non-Ludicrous that runs 11.7 second at 1/4 mile.Ugh, a MUSTANG???? I have a P90D on order but I guess that I now may reconsider and go with the P100D.
His result is P90D non-Ludicrous that runs 11.7 second at 1/4 mile.
The record so far for P90D with Ludicrous runs 10.8 seconds. If you get P100D with Ludicrous, it will runs 10.6 seconds.
If you get P100D with Ludicrous, it will runs 10.6 seconds.
Oh, I see. Too bad I didn't opt for L when I placed my order, as we all know it's no longer an option in the P90D.
I bet if you called Tesla they'd be glad to take your $10,000 to software enable the Ludicrous option. It's not available to new orders since the P100D's are out.
Good point and if they agreed, they would probably end up charging me $10.5K because of that $500 change order request.
They shouldn't. They still have the store item that you can order to upgrade a P90D to a P90DL for $10k. So after delivery you could pay $10k to make it a L, and then spend $20k more to make it a P100DL...
Interesting, I was under the impression that they wouldn't software upgrade the NEW P90D. Maybe it's just that you can't order the L option in the new build. Thanks for sharing!
Who knows maybe they won't, but I can't seem them turning down $10k for flipping a switch and installing an underline.
10k + laborThey shouldn't. They still have the store item that you can order to upgrade a P90D to a P90DL for $10k. So after delivery you could pay $10k to make it a L, and then spend $20k more to make it a P100DL...
10k + labor
I was told it's a 2 day job, did not get an exact labor cost.
I'm just relaying what the service center is saying.I think that is for a P85D to P85DL. We have had reports that all P90Ds already have the hardware and that it is just a software switch to go P90DL.
Pretty sure P100DL will be 10.6x second.Note to road warriors:
You are not going to beat cars specifically set up for drag racing. You won't even beat pickups. Mod'd Stangs or Camaros? No.
At the DHRA Diesel Nationals in Texas, we ran 10.65@130mph in a street legal 6420lb 4x4 pickup that was driven to the track.
That is not considered fast.
A Tesla P90 is crazy quick for a street car, perhaps the quickest. A modified car used for drag racing will walk away from it though.
Pretty sure P100DL will be 10.6x second.
