Is there a setting that prevents the rear AC from always starting in auto mode on refreshed MX? I have the Sync setting enabled for the rear AC but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'd like to know also. Mine only turns on when it senses someone in the back, but even then, I hate that it goes to auto and blasts the air. It's now a routine every time I get in the car with my kids. What a pain.
I have the same issue that if somebody is in the rear, AC goes full blast. WHY!?!?!?! I always have to turn down the rear fan speed because A) not needed B) too loud.
Any suggestions on how to program it or set some default?
Not sure about pre-refresh vehicles, but for about a year or so now there is an option under Auto to adjust your fan speed.
So there is Auto High / Auto Medium / Auto Low without having to go to manual controls.
Auto Medium guy myself, and yes I do hear the difference when the rear is activated by an occupant as well on my late 2023 X. Auto Low may be more to your liking.
It would be OK if if they had a separate system. Like older cars..
But they made the refresh cars so terrible.. The noise it makes just to give the people in the rear some heating / cooling. And it's terrible for people on 3. Row.
We have 2023 plaid. But the 75kW 6 seat is the best on road trips. I wish it was easy to put the older AC system in the new cars.
Cold air from the B pillar etc.
Tesla really made good cars years ago!
