Rear USB ports

Does anyone know if the rear USB ports ever turn off?

I was thinking about getting some small plug-in LED lights but a simple experiment seems to show that the socket remains powered all the time; surely they should turn off at some point?
They don’t when you lock and walk away

Yes they do. I have small color-changing LED lights plugged in there all the time. They eventually turn off once the car goes to sleep.
