Rear view camera

My wife likes to have the screen in our Model Y displaying the rear and both side views while driving not sure why she likes that but she does. She asked me if having it display that either reduces range and if it will make the cameras not last as long, I really didn’t know how to answer that what do you guys think

Doubtful (on range impact or life span impact). The car is already using the cameras pretty much all the time. That's how you can record clips when you honk the horn (for example).
