i just got my S tinted! for those wondering or looking for reference:
  • XPEL XR PRIME PLUS for all sides and rear @ 20%
  • XPEL XR PRIME PLUS for windshield @ 70%
20% was boarderline too dark for my personal taste, but it looks amazing. don't regret the 20% tho. didn't go with 30% because the XPEL XR PRIME PLUS had way too much of a blue tint.

it works well for heat reduction... but now i'm thinking of adding a film 70% or 90% to the panoramic roof because i still feel some heat. any experience whether thats worth it?

have not added any PPF or ceramic coating yet... still deciding whether or not its worth the cost.
anways here are some pics i took earlier today!

Wow that is 🔥. My LR build is the exact same. Contemplating the windshield tint but def the sides & back. I assume black interior?

I just got xpel stealth ppf installed on my Model S LR and it looks freaking amazing!! The curves are so much more highlighted now.

Looks awesome! Did they remove any bumpers/trim to wrap the edges? Or does the film end at the edge for those areas? Can’t really tell from the photos.
They did not take anything apart. They said with Teslas they prefer not to remove any parts. With that said, you can barely see any seams. The film is wrapped around most of the edges.

I also ordered another CF rear emblem from eBay (item number 234095119903). It was actually a emblem cover, meaning it is hollow behind it and covers OVER your existing stock emblem (stuck onto the stock emblem using 3M tape), it does look fine, but is slightly larger than the stock emblem (given it is a cover). Just FYI.
Did you happen to take a photo of the fit on this? (Maybe I missed it somewhere) Thanks for your time in sharing WiLz—this community has been so generous and has saved a lot of people time and money with trial and error of upgrades

Didn't get a chance yet as my car has been in and out of service to take care of some items. Probably getting it back mid next week.

Anyone have experience with or opinions about Suntek PPF? Local shop uses this not XPEL.
I have a CA golf friend who owns an auto detail shop. He suggested Suntek Reaction. It's fairly new to the market and has hydrophobic qualities, so a ceramic top coat isn't necessary. I was previously thinking XPEL Ultimate Plus, but I'm meeting with a shop 40 minutes from my house next week to discuss the Reaction PPF. I'll probably get my car ceramic coated as well, but I'm interested to understand folks thoughts on the PPF itself.
