Oh wow, that’s interesting. Any idea if this applies to LR’s or just Plaids?
I wouldn’t be 100% happy about switching 7 to a 6, but if this true for LR’s as well I wouldn’t mind if it means we get our cars before 2023 at this point.

what am I missing in regards to free upgrade? It looks like they told him he’ll be upcharged $3,000. Less than the $6,500 markup for 6-seater but not “free”. Did I read that wrong? Is the adjustment a discount off a 5/7 seater?

He will be "upgraded to 6 seater but won't be paying the difference." That he will 'see an adjustment' to cover the difference. Am I reading this wrong?

my friends gonna be piiiiisssed. She switched to a 6 seater last year to get 2021 delivery but being told March now. and now I may end up getting a discount to switch to 6

The only way to highlight this is to tweet it and tag as many Turus (Tesla gurus) as possible. Then the only way to get traction is with retweets and replies. For now we are just in this thread and unknown to outer world.
Here is a post in Tesla lounge on Reddit but just got 26 comments and mostly from one person who thinks this not a problem.

Exactly! What about us who got "the call" last year and changed our plaid orders to 6 seats to get that "guaranteed" delivery by the end of 2021. Will we be getting a reimbursement for the 6 seat upgrade we paid?!?
That's the situation I am in. I'm happy for the folks getting a free upgrade, but F tesla. I paid to upgrade for the sole purpose of a promised delivery last year. That didn't happen and Now I can't change back without losing my place in line.
I know they say "never say never" but based on this experience I am pretty sure this will be my first and last tesla.
I am not a math wizard but i will just put this here and see what it looks like to everyone else. If originally a 7 then going to a 6.

Thanks for sharing @Dimitar Atanasov. Really disappointing for those that were waiting for 5 seater Plaid. I don’t understand how they can still offer 5 and 7 seaters for LR but not Plaid. What’s the logic there?
If they called me to adjust to a 6 seater LR for $3000 I’d take it at this point

What about it? He had a 7 seater (+3500). Is being 'forced' into a 6 seater as they will not make any 5/7 seaters, so that's a +3000. He will get an adjustment (credit) on his account for -3000.

The last row folds down. Why would you take out the seats. Just leave them down.
