Are we all ready for March to pivot to April? I’m mentally preparing for it to be here in time for summer. A mere 16 months post order if it comes by end of April.

And here I was worried about getting it in time for LAST winter to start to wrap or coat it before it got super cold. Silly.
I am.

Counting down to the EDD change to April 2022 in .........T- xx days

This is the Tesla rollercoaster ride, where Tesla makes fun of your emotion.
Hang in there folks and enjoy the ride!

Turns out March wasn't a placeholder. This is when it's no good being near Fremont. Cars ship east, and rushed production gets left behind for us in the last week of March.

I intentionally booked the family for an international trip the last week of March so I won't be tempted to accept delivery in Fremont at midnight on 3/31.
I'm located out east and my March placeholder is sitting strong. By the time I get this X I'll need to make room for a Hoveround.

She got her Florida Sunshine ☀️ protection (AKA ceramic tint) today.

I thought I’d give a couple of comparisons now that we’ve had the X plaid for a few days (picked up on 2/4/22) and I’ve seen a few in here chatting about getting a Y instead of their X.

There’s noticable comfort differences between the Y and the X (we’ve had the Y performance since June 2021 and sold our 3 LR in July 2021)

Seats are much more comfortable in the X and the suspension on the X makes the ride more comfortable and quieter too. Of course once you get used to the doors on the x opening and closing for you it doesn’t feel so luxurious to get into the Y.

Don’t get me wrong they’re both great vehicles and being able to have a roof rack for our SUP boards on the Y is great.

I wish the X came with all weather mats and interior illumination (not sure why the removed that feature that one on previous years) but it’s a great car.

Service is scheduled for 2/22/22 for the scratches, front bumper dent and FWD adjustment.

Ironically I had Tesla mobile service at the house today for the YP as the carbon fiber spoiler had started to come off on the sides.
Crazy that they only attach it with 3M double stick tape.
They replaced it so now I have 2 🤣.

For those of you getting VINS and delivery dates, are you finding out by going to the app every day or are you also getting a phone call or text?
It can happen either way.

Mine is MX LR white/ebony 20” FSD 7SAXCBE54NF332xxx ordered 5/2021 now expected in New York 2/16 to 2/22/2022.
They didn’t call me. Last week I checked the app and called the SC for confirmation (they had called me back in November with a 2021 VIN which soon vanished). Since then they’ve been in close touch and I think it’s really going to happen.

My son ordered the same specifications the same month for Florida delivery, likewise Long Range. He heard nothing in November, and today they called him with VIN 7SAXCBE58NF332xxx expected delivery down there 2/25 to 3/1 2022.
