I was following this thread because mine has seemed less grabby of late as well, though I cannot quantify it, It particualrly was different than a Model Y loaner I had for a day, though that could be because the Y was AWD and mine is RWD.
I just got 36.11 this morning as well, so I'll see if it feels different.
As a new owner, I don't know how regen was previously but currently it feels pretty weak to me. I find a lot of the time I'm pressing the breaks anyways when coming up to red traffic lights.
Unless you have scanmytesla or another app that reads the can bus, you won't know if the battery is cold-ish. The regen dots are not always showing, it depends how much is lost. That bar is not a precise indicator.
Yes, my regen is definitely not as strong as it used to be. I find myself having to use the brake quite frequently because I misjudged the slowdown. I've been on 36.11 for a while and that did not change it at all. I want my one pedal driving back!

This is unfortunate because one of the features that sold me on the tesla was the one pedal driving and the promise of having to do less maintenance (including replacing break pads) than a traditional ice car.
Thanks for posting - it's nice to hear confirmation from Tesla. It's disappointing from a driveability point of view (and efficiency. more braking = more energy wasted), but hopefully it translates to a longer life for the cars moving parts.
I wish there was a “detailed change log” with details like this at each firmware update so I don’t keep wondering if I’m losing my senses.
Also something that seems different since 32: the auto highbeam headlights seem more sensitive, going to low beam too frequently/twitchy. I felt like it was 80% accurate for most lightly travelled highways I use at night. Now I’d say 70%.
got 40.3 installed a couple days ago (40.4 is out now! ) and regen is MUCH better than the previous update. its still not as good as it was several updates back but you will notice the difference in this build.
