There’s a free iOS app that measures g-forces. I’ll measure from a few different speeds, on level roads only, and note the temperature. Then in future I’ll have some digital data to try to correlate with my analog butt-o-meter.

The thing is, the outside temp will only get you so far. You either need ScanMyTesla, TesLAX or other app that can read data from your CAN bus. You need to know the actual battery temperature, for example.

40.4 here and I think there has been some improvement. I wouldn’t say it’s “grabbier” as far as the feeling of g-forces go, but I did notice when I was driving last night that I was consistently coming to a stop sooner than I had gotten used to. So maybe it’s back to being a bit more aggressive now, but still operates very smoothly as in the recent past.

As an aside, I wasn’t aware of any potential change to regen with 40.3/40.4 so I didn’t have the possibility of being affected by a placebo effect. That said, I had not driven the car for about a week until last night and it’s possible that also contributed to
misjudging stopping distances to some extent. That’s why I began my post with “I think.”

Finally, back to what I would consider "normal" for me with 40.4. I'm basing it off of what it felt like when I first got my car with (20.17)
