Retrofit 2014 Gen 1 bumpers with Gen 2 parking sensors

Hi Folks,
Brand new to TMC, thanks for having me and by far, I love this informative forum.
I have a salvaged 2014 MS P85, passed Tesla Redeem process.
My parking sensors are disabled due to the fact that my MS is a November Gen 2 but Gen 1 bumpers and parking harnesses and sensors (4 front/4 rear) got installed.
My question, can I retrofit Gen 2 harnesses and sensors (6 front/6 rear) in my dumpers? I would rather avoid buying and painting new bumpers.

The inside of the bumper covers have dimples for where the extra sensors get mounted. So you can remove the bumper covers (not a difficult task) and drill holes in them to accept the additional sensors (that you can buy from Tesla). I don’t know anything but the wiring harness you would need.

You should definitely be able to do so.
Not sure if software was altered to 'disable your sensors' or if was simply the hardware issue.
I do like your question about 'putting sensors in my dumpers'. Lol
