Retrofit Tow Hitch from Tesla

Curious if anyone has had the retrofit tow hitch installed by Tesla? I ordered about 10 days ago and still showing "en route to service center".

[email protected] claims they do not have a time frame.

The cynical side of me says the opened the order to get Q2 revenue and don't have the parts.

Have you received it yet? I ordered July 20 and have not received any communication other than the same message you have from onlineorders.

I ordered the hitch same day I took delivery on the MY (7/16)..They don’t update the delivery info since it goes directly to the service center. The hitch arrived last week at my local (80 miles) SC. The info on the Tesla store still shows it enroute and never updated. Earliest appt I could get for install was end of August.

Here is my timeline:
Ordered: July 7, 2022
Arrived to service center: July 15, 2022 (was chatting with them via app)
Installed: July 19, 2022

Was able to get hitch cover open with flat screw driver easily, no need for drilling and $25 screw driver.

I do applaud all the cottage industry ingenuity being built around Tesla, selling $50 products that cost pennies to make
