Just washed the car today and noticed a chip in the roof about 10 inches away from the windshield line. It’s not a chip where the object created a small crater and it’s starting to spider out, but rather, it looks like a gash as if the object skimmed the roof. If I run my finger nail over it, you can definitely feel it catch. If I were to guess, it’s probably 1/4 - 1/2 mm deep. Is this something I should worry about even though it’s not cracking? I’m not sure how long it’s been there but I’m guessing about a month now, since that’s the last time I washed my car due to all the rain we had in SoCal. See photo.
