Scraped tire rim - help!

hey all! I just got my model 3 a couple of weeks ago. Due to my poor parking skills, I’ve managed to slightly scrape one of the rims.

I upgraded to the 18 inch tires which make the rim more exposed and at risk for scrapes...

any tips on what I should do about this? Thanks so I YH

Ouch. But this isn't fatal. Google "curb rash repair" shops in your area. Many come to your house/work to do the repair, so it's pretty easy. Couple of hundred bucks, depending. BUT, if you think you're the sort who will make this parking error again, consider this: How ticked off will be if you pay $300 or so to repair this, and then scratch it up all over again? Mental tranquility might mitigate in favor of leaving this as is.

They are using undersized tires. Mine are worse. I'm just waiting until they wear out so I can put the proper width tires on it.

Has anyone conclusively figured what size tire is required on standard 18 and 19" rims to have a little sidewall protection? Will 245 do it?
