I am thinking of buying a model X for my business due to its roominess and tow capacity.
I wanted to know if it is possible to swap the fixed second row seats for a newer version foldable bench?

The tracks and spacing appear to be different based on the parts catalog.

It was in 2017 but I can't recall if it came out with the July refresh or not.

My late build 2016 had the monopost middle row. The 5 seaters with foldable bench started in late 2016.

FWIW, I traded my 2017 Model X 6 seater for a 2020 Model X 5 seater largely because of not being able to fold down the 2nd row and also because I never had anyone in the 3rd row. If you have a need to carry "stuff," the 5 seater is the way to go.
