The resemblance to the Brubaker design is pretty blatant, complete with the all angular lines, sliding ramp and high walled bed. The cars posted above only bare resemblance with the racked hood.

I knew it!! When I first saw the thing... I had a visceral subconscious boner reaction...couldn't place where I've seen that design before. Then Jalaponik came out with an article and reference... Penthouse 1978...oh yes...that explained it:

The article is spot on. The brutalist angular lines of the Cybertruck including squared wheel arches make for a cheap fabrication process. The Bertone designed cars on the other hand are always stunning to look at. I would hate to compare them to Tesla truck.
