Looks like the Tesla design team drew heavy inspirations from this concept by Curtis Brubaker in 1978,

I knew it!! When I first saw the thing... I had a visceral subconscious boner reaction...couldn't place where I've seen that design before. Then Jalaponik came out with an article and reference... Penthouse 1978...oh yes...that explained it:

The article is spot on. The brutalist angular lines of the Cybertruck including squared wheel arches make for a cheap fabrication process. The Bertone designed cars on the other hand are always stunning to look at. I would hate to compare them to Tesla truck.
