I’m considering selling my Model X 75D in order to upgrade to a 100D. Blue exterior, black 5-seat leather interior and fully loaded. Just over 12k miles. $105k sticker price, asking $87k. Tesla and Vroom both offered $81k, but would like to try to get slightly more via private party to make the numbers work for me. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have!

The exact same config would cost around 95k today, which brinks it to around 87k after rebates and incentives. I think Tesla's pricing is fair

Yup - they are just going to turn around and sell it CPO for $10k more though. So I’m trying to find someone local who wants a 75D now that is in perfect condition and has had all of the kinks worked out.

Right, but your price is a bit unreasonable. I think that tesla's price is fair and you should try selling locally for 1 -2k more than that

You should take the $81k from Tesla. Since you're trading you should not be taxed on the new purchase. (Not sure if that applies in NC or not though)

So range anxiety is costing you $20k ? Or do you also need to switch seats config ?

NC just charges a 3% highway use tax. I would have to pay that regardless of trade-in I believe.

I drive back to Maryland frequently and would like the extra range! If I didn’t do that often then I would just keep the 75D! It’s an awesome car and I love the blue w/ Black.

I’ll include the extended warranty for someone at $87k. That would make the car under warranty for another 87,000 Miles.

So the equivalent new small battery X like yours after incentives would be around $87k today and Tesla offered $81k?? You are saying Tesla would pay you $81k for your used ‘17, then sell your used one for around $91k? None of that adds up....you should grab the $81k from Tesla before they realize

65k cash today. The 75d will probably take the hardest hit as 2019 begins and other vehicles with better range start to become available from all the major manufacturers. Yes Tesla is one of a kind but numbers are always numbers and I’m sure a trade in with Tesla would prove to be around the same if not less. Especially with the redesigned cockpit that I believe will be released end summer 19

Lol. I’m guessing Tesla or Vroom didn’t come through with 81k :D
