Selling a Model 3 Performance - Anyone tried using the brokerage system to sell?

Here’s the thing. And I wish I hadn’t mentioned to them now. But mine is the MP3- sometimes called the performance stealth or limited edition performance. But Tesla have registered the vehicle as the LR and the dealers so far have taken the view that it would have to be marketed as a LR with some kind of (unspecified) performance upgrade. I think they mean the acceleration boost tbh. I wonder if other MP3- owners have had the car registered this way ?
I have a P- (aero wheels etc..) and in my V5 and for insurance it is considered “Performance AWD”.

+1 for Motorway - I’ve used them for 2 cars over last 18 months.

Never used this system before and wondered if anyone had any experience of it ? I’m in the Guildford area if you could recommend anywhere. I’m reluctant to use auto trader having experienced a few ‘unusual’ characters last time. (Of course I’ll start some research but the paperwork on the work car has been processed much quicker than expected and caught me on the hop). Thanks.
Let me know if it's still for sale and what specs etc please, thanks

It’s very odd. Because as I say Tesla emailed to say it was registered with DVLA as a LR AWD Performance. But clearly that is not correct. Also I checked autotrader and there is one other M3P- and the dealer kindly checked and confirmed his was also registered with DVLA in the same way as mine. Selling privately it wouldn’t be a problem as I have confirmation from Tesla plus the obvious red line under the dual motor and on the screen. Not to mention the whiplash when you drive it, but it makes it difficult when trying to get WBAC or Motorway to give you a quote. I was surprised they hadn’t seemed to have know about it. They’re not that rare.

Last Sept I got £2.5k more than I paid for it for a M3P- exactly 1 year old, 6000 miles, aeros from ...you guessed it WBAC!

I can’t see any mention on what you’re being offered so, out of interest, I just entered my car on WBAC (mileage of 11k) and got a £44k valuation. Is that anything like your offer?

I’m definitely not looking to sell but I’m quite happy to see a quote that suggests less than 10% depreciation over 19 months - especially as I believe I’d do even better with Motorway. I lost 40% on a Porsche Cayman over a similar period when they were supposedly in short-ish supply ☹️.

Well I never. I went onto WBAC just now and low and behold when you manually enter your details (because the DVLA reg process brings up the LR as discussed) they are offering not just the performance upgrade model 3 but also ‘SALOON Performance AWD 4dr Auto (2019 to 2019)‘ which I suspect is the correct description for the M3P -. I could have sworn I checked last week and that wasn’t an option. Anyway I will probably go with that although I will have to run it again in a few days as I can’t sell until Thursday next. AFAIK Motorway don’t give you the option to enter details manually and I’ve called twice now and twice they have been going to get back to me.

If you are near Guildford give Electric Cars For Sale - EV Experts - Independent Specialist a call. It's a small family business and they might have a buyer already.
