Sensing concrete barriers in parking lots

Ultrasound sensors cannot sense obstacle position, only proximity, think of them as shooting a cone.
Camera can't see there's height, unless it is a stereo camera or data is processed for photogrammetry.
In short; the information is not available to AP today.
Back in as everybody else that can drive :)
 
With all the fancy sensing and camera devices, why is it that I can’t “see” the little concrete barriers —4-5 inches high—that are often in parking lots? I have pulled my spoiler off three times now.

As I drive forward into a spot, I always look at the curb or parking stops to determine if my spoiler will clear it.

You could buy a custom camera kit that mounts under the front bumper and the image is displayed on your center screen
