Sentry not going away

Been having this issue since last update that hasn’t gone away since most recent 30.8 update.
I’ll get into the car and be driving and this won’t go.
Just stays on until I reset the screen using the two scroll buttons.
Any thoughts?

Also noticing this. Not sure if anything has to do with it. There’s a card in there. Not sure why it’s got an x on it.

The X means that Sentry is not recording / functioning. About 90% of the time I get firmware updates, it disables Sentry like this. You must take out the USB and then reinsert it, to restart Sentry and ensure your recordings are being saved.

Ah…ok. Weird.
Well I got the x away by inserting the usb into the second usb port.
Hopefully that will solve the first issue also.

Aren't you using the USB in glove box? Not sure what year your S is. I think you can avoid the problem by removing USB before future firmware updates.

Could be. Thanks for that tip. I have a 2018 S. No glovebox usb.

Glove Box USB is 2021+.
