Also I forgot to mention, 22" reduces towing capacity from 5000lb to 3500lb. It might not be a problem for most. They are made purely for racing. For everyday use 20" is much better. If you like the black look, an alternative is to get the sonic carbon 20". They used to be an option but now only available in Tesla online store.

I had no idea of the 22" issues. I like the look but not that much. I will be texting the rep to remove the 22", hopefully they can so I can take delivery this Sunday, before the fed tax credit exp. Thank you thank you, so glad I asked.

If you like the color of the wheels to be black get the standard wheels and have them powder coated black. They will have the look of the 22” without the harsh ride and the efficiency cost.

As @MorrisonHiker mentioned, if you can only get the deal by taking the 22s, you'll be able to sell those pretty easily and cover the cost of either the base or any third-party 20s you want. Maybe even a summer and winter set.
