they talked about how it remembers and knows rough areas to change suspension. Will be interesting to see how this works/plays out..
That sounds like software only, which means we could get it in an update.
No, it will require red calipers I am sure.
Correct. The new part # supersedes the last. So all screens now manufactured will be the larger size and it’s a direct replacement.Someone mentioned in another thread that they got the rear screen replaced, and it was replaced with a larger screen, so evidently there are two rear screen sizes in the 2021+ refresh.
Part of a firmware update already released into the fleet. You will notice your suspension will raise sometimes with a message about it raising for a smoother ride.Just got an email ad from Tesla.

Anyone know if the smarter adaptive suspension is a hardware change, or just software?
Do you know how much larger?Correct. The new part # supersedes the last. So all screens now manufactured will be the larger size and it’s a direct replacement.
Is this for all cars with adaptive suspension or just the refreshed ones?Part of a firmware update already released into the fleet. You will notice your suspension will raise sometimes with a message about it raising for a smoother ride.

The physical size of the panel is the same. The bezel was reduced allowing about 1.25” of additional viewable screen. It’s not a huge difference but it is slightly more viewable area on a screen that is small to begin with. With that let’s get back to the adaptive suspension discussion as indicated above.Do you know how much larger?
I’ve only had it raise to medium when it detects a “rough road surface”.Does it raise up above medium? I don’t drive around in low, so I don’t know if I’ll ever see the benefit of this feature.
