Well, my project advisor is completely ignoring me now and not even responding to my emails, so I guess that's the end of that. I was hoping to get some more information on the problems that they see, before I move forward with my new roof, which I need regardless of whether I can put solar panels up. As it is now, I don't even know if my roof is large enough, or oriented in the right direction to produce enough electricity - and if that's the case, I can save some money by not needing to get the roof made perfectly straight.
You should probably go out to bid for PV from a company that wants to work with you (since Tesla doesnt), and be prepared to pay the appropriate prices for that.
