SplitVolt Review/Charging Option

When I had a Chevy Volt years ago, I wired an on-off-on switch to 2 dryer outlets right next to the dryer and just switched it to the dryer whenever I needed the dryer. These devices seem unnecessarily complex and expensive for such a simple task.

I wouldn't recommend a SplitVolt device at all. Mine failed after about 6 months of use. Trying to get a warranty replacement with no success.

Same here. Makes buzzing sound after 1 year. It was fine and convinient when it was working.

Mine failed just over 12 months with buzzing sound. Still can charge just cannot auto switch between dryer and EV which is the whole point. Customer Service is terrible. I m still waiting email reply since mid Feb. They masterfully hidden their contact number but I found it anyway again no answer.

Splitvolt DID end up warrantying my unit, the new unit has worked flawlessly for past 10 months.
