It should be easy to remove, it is just double stick foam 3M style tape holding it on. 2 long strips of it.

With a hot air gun and some fishing line it should remove without any damage. I had mine older glossy one replaced with the newer matt one (which is slightly smaller) and there was no damage when they removed the old one. It did crack the carbon fiber on the old one when they did remove it. They said this is common so don't plan on saving it if you try to remove it.
