Sticky door handles?

Hey folks,

This was happening to the rear driver's side door, now happening to the front as well. I've tried cleaning it out fairly well but doesn't seem to always help. Sometimes it goes all the way in, sometimes it sticks out like this. It takes only a light tap to push it in, it's just not getting all the way in itself. Doesn't feel gritty or anything.



Any ideas, remedies? Known issue?

Just spray a little WD-40 on the little spring in there. Problem went away for me. I think it mentions this in the manual as well.

Well I'll be, I never would have thought a manufacturer to actually recommend WD-40.

Problem is it ain't ice (where they recommend WD-40) since we see this inside the garage as well, where it's about 9°C (48°F) and definitely wet instead of frozen if anything. I'll give it a shot though.
