The reason I mention it is that I wonder if a similar issue may be causing Android handsets to take an age to connect sometimes.
In another thread a user found that running the app on Bluestacks worked just fine, but on his handset with the car in the same place he was experiencing the Android connecting delays that many of us see.
Bit beyond my technical scope to diagnose though, wondered if somebody here would be willing to analyze.
(I guess you would need to remove your config to see if your problem still existed)
