Our Tesla's are great at warming car and battery up for us in the morning - it takes less than five minutes generally, in my experience, to get the interior temperature of our cars to 20°C, whatever the outside temperature.
Only, I have to use the app, given that "smart preconditioning" is, well, beta. What I would really like is "stupid preconditioning"? Something like this:
If "school day" then start warming up at 7:15 am
Else If "working day" then start warming up at 7:40 am
Else start warming up at 8:40 am (to fetch some croissants).
End If
(and of course always stop preconditioning after 30 minutes - as is the case now)
If Tesla's AI is vexed by being left out of this proposal, then I suggest it participates by looking up school vacations and official holidays in my region, to define the variables "school day" and "working day" on that basis

But frankly, that's really all the smartness I currently need from Tesla's AI in respect of preconditioning.
