Supercharger - Arcata, CA (under construction Apr 2024, 12 V4 stalls)

Tesla will build a 12 stall supercharger near the Carl's Jr. on Valley West Blvd in Arcata (Ray's Food Place shopping center). This was confirmed via email with the building department. No idea if a permit has been applied or approved, just that "Tesla will build". There will be stalls in the strip along the road as well in the next aisle of angled spots. Another grey map dot has panned out.

This will be a great addition to the Supercharger network. Crescent City is a dump of a charging station (and a slow 150kW), and this will eliminate that from my family's travels. Build quickly!

A V3 on US-101 in a deep sea of V2s. While relatively close to Eureka, CA, it's in one of the larger gaps on US-101, which makes it even more beneficial.

Also at the start of CA-299, so helpful the east-west connections as well.

Don't let the distance fool you from the Coast to Redding at 128 miles. It's 3 hours. Twisty (and fun) Mountain range the entire way, if it's open...Rock Slides and Winter are BAD on the Trinity side

Good News -

Construction has started on this facility! I stopped by on the way back to Redding from Gold Beach yesterday and snapped these pictures. Light poles were on the ground, ready to go up, and it is obvious that work is happening. Hopefully this one opens soon. It's easy access from either 299 or 101.
