Nicole Mossinger, via Tesla Owners of the East Bay Facebook, has reported a 12-stall Supercharger under construction on Newark Blvd, a block north of the civic center.

It appears to be in the parking lot of the shopping center on the southwest corner of Newark Blvd. and Mayhews Landing Rd., maybe in front of the Jade Palace restaurant.

Nerdy factoid. Fremont was incorporated in the 50s (IIRC) by the merging of 4 cities. The original proposal would have incorporated Newark and Union City into Fremont, but UC and Newark balked at the proposal and incorporated themselves first. Hence the weird city limits.

Still no transformer five months after installation of the Tesla Supercharger and 12 charging posts. Did the city of Newark drop the ball on budgeting for this and realize the electric grid infrastructure in the area will not support this installation? The EV parking at the posts, once blocked by safety cones, has reverted back to general public parking. Does anyone know the timeframe when this site will be operational?

Unless the City of Newark operates its own electric service, this is more likely in the purview of PG&E or their suppliers.
