Supercharger - Grass Valley, CA (LIVE 25 May 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

On Friday, crews were sucking water out of the conduits where the PG&E transformer is supposed to go. I dunno what that means for any sort of timeframe on the actual transformer.
Visited today and still no transformer. I’ve witnessed the same situation previously so I know that PGE can sometimes take months to install a transformer.

If it doesn't show live in the nav system, then I wouldn't count on charging there.

This one maybe a year start to finish. Lots and lots of snow may have caused delays; PG&E crews being sent elsewhere to repair basic services; shifting priorities etc.

That is just the cutest little Supercharger. Hopefully it helps the locals, as I am not sure who is gonna be 12 minutes up 49

Just a couple random thoughts to respond to Randys:
SR20 is a pretty drive east of Nevada City to its junction with Interstate 80 near Cisco. It is a pleasant alternative to heading all the way into Sac and then east on Interstate 80 for people going to and from Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte Counties or from the upper Sacramento Valley. Avoiding Sac during rush hour is a plus, in my opinion.
Then there will be a handful of souls who like to take SR49 north out of Nevada City to Downieville and over the hill to Sattley, Graeagle, Clio, and perhaps even to Portola and Lake Davis.
***Pro tip for those unfortunate enough to get a traffic citation around Truckee: California Vehicle Code section 40502(b) states [paraphrasing] that if the promise to appear is at a location that is more than 50 miles from a person's primary residence or primary place of employment, then the violator may make a request to the Court to have the case transferred to the courthouse at the county seat if it is closer to home or employment.
The county line for Nevada County meanders along Interstate 80 around Truckee. CHP will use the satellite courthouse in Truckee for disposition of routine traffic violations.
Since Nevada City is the seat of Nevada County, and since most people live well west of Nevada City, it would make sense to transfer the trial to the courthouse in Nevada City.
Accordingly, this Supercharger is quite convenient for those who insist on their day in court on their terms, not the CHP.
(This law applies throughout the state, and we have some very large counties: San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo with seats in San Bernardino, Riverside, and Independence. Beats the heck out of Barstow, Blythe, Palm Springs, or Bishop if that is where the notice says to appear.)
