Doesn't seem to be a lot of progress being made so far.

Absolutely massive tangle of conduit. BIG conduit, like 6 inch? Those trenches are deeper than they appear, especially the big dugout with I-5 in the background. I hope there is a plan somewhere for services, especially a restroom.

I stopped by the Holiday Inn the other day to check out the progress on the 44 station Supercharger in Redding, CA. It's coming along nicely, and thankfully this will be a City of Redding Electric operation, so hopefully it will get a transformer sooner than PG&E is currently rolling them out. Anderson has been waiting months for one, as did Cottonwood before that. I took this last Friday afternoon, and the crew was working hard on the site.

The transformers already were installed about 2 weeks ago. The circuits to connect the site to the city power grid were also installed about 3 to 4o weeks ago. They are down next to the sidewalk. Last Thursday it looked like they were doing some wiring work on the charging cabinets maybe getting ready to run the wires to the stalls.

If you count the stalls and come up 3 short know that there will be 3 stalls on the walkway next to the back of the building up where the charging cabinets close to the freeway.

Not much new details to add, but I thought I’d post some pics of the site to show the state of the project. All photos taken Oct 8, 2023.

For those that do not know it, the site is behind the main Holiday Inn building that faces Hilltop Drive, and somewhat adjacent to the rear building. In this pano, Hilltop Drive is frame right:

Here‘s a picture taken from behind the rear building, looking south. The northbound lanes of Interstate 5 are just out of frame, to the right.
