Supercharger - Walnut Creek, CA - Palos Verdes Mall (LIVE 21 Dec 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

Tesla Owners of the East Bay and MarcoRP pointed out a Supercharger under construction at 1600 Palos Verdes Mall, Walnut Creek, CA. This is on the back side of the mall, easiest entrance is from Camino Verde. There are bases for 9 posts in the middle of the parking lot and another 3 posts next to the charger cabinets along the back fence.

There's going to be quite a lot of charging in this mall with 12 Supercharger stalls, also an EVgo site (screens are lit up, but didn't test), and free Volta Level 2 charging scattered throughout the parking lot.

No change on the Tesla side from previous postings.

The EVgo chargers are definitely functional, saw an ID.4, a Mach-E, and an R1S charging when I passed through this afternoon.

No apparent change in the state of the site, although there are some "no parking" signs for the next couple weeks (10/30 - 11/18) in the parking spaces between the Supercharger spaces and the EVgo spaces.

Not really worth a picture but there’s a porta potty here now, also they unwrapped one of the charger cabinets and did a little trenching in the parking lot.

No posts installed yet but the bases are the rectangular v3/v4 type.

Ah heck here’s a picture anyway. Wide angle to show the free Volta L2 chargers, EVgo, and hopefully soon Superchargers.

Standard V3 posts, no Magic Docks. There's a likely place for a transformer pad.

Teensy bit of progress…

There’s a prefab transformer pad here now but it’s up on blocks on the other side of the charger cabinets and needs to be moved to the space shown in the previous post.

There are two groups of charging posts. One group of 9 in the middle of the lot, and another 3 on the near the charging cabinets. There is a disabled access stall in the group of 3. The stalls in the group of 9 have no parking bumpers, and notably stall 1D (far right hand side of both photos) looks great for charging with a trailer, because if you pull through to that post, the trailer won't block a charging space. Also it might work well for non-Tesla EVs.
