TAMPA AREA - M3 Tint

Hello all,

I am getting my M3 soon (hopefully) and trying to plan ahead. Anyone have experience with getting windows tinted in the Tampa area? How much tint did you all get? What product?

What about windshield? Do you feel that a windshield tint is needed? I have read forums where the electronics was destroyed bc of fluid leaking into it.

Lastly, anyone with a white interior get their cars tinted. Worried that the white interior will get dirty so looking for experienced shop. Anyone get their white interior "ceramic treated"?

Ryan at Auto Paint Guard does a great job! They do a ton of Tesla's, mostly Model 3s. He did my Tesla with a white interior and it was immaculate when I got it back. Can't recommend him enough!

100% do the windshield. I suggest The Tesla Studio in Sarasota or my installer Naples Tint Company in Naples.

Thank you for the replies everyone. What percentage of (legal) tint do you all recommend? I have recently moved to Florida and also never had tinted cars but with the weather here I think its very beneficial. Also cosmetically do you all think its best to have the same tint on all windows OR have like 30% in the front and 20% in the back?

Does the windshield tint help prevent the reflection that people talk about from the white dash?

Did they also tint the rear window? I contacted a few installers around Tampa and they didn’t want to because of the size. Some even said that “Tesla didn’t recommend it” which sounded like complete nonsense

Yes Sir. We only do the entire rear glass in one single piece of film, not 2 pieces or half a glass like other shops do.

I’ve had two M3s done by Eric over at Tint Studio in Riverview if you’re on this side of town. He does the rear glass with a single piece of tint. Excellent work and he does windshields too.
