Model 3 window tinting - worries and request for recommendations (London/Essex, UK)

I've got a late 2019/early 2020 Model 3 Performance. Love it aside from the fact with the white interior, its essentially a fish bowl out in public. I'd like to get tints all round.

I've read a small quantity of horror stories regarding the components in the A-pillars being fried during the tint process (a molex connector that gathers water). This has naturally led me to second guess the job a hundred times.

Hoping someone can help with a couple queries I have:
1. Is this a legitimate concern? Should I be asking for anything specific from the tint specialist?
2. I've read about potential issues tinting the roof glass. It seems like less of an issue in the UK compared to the SoCal sun, but anything to be cautious of here for my car's year of manufacture?
2. Does anyone have a recommedation in the London/Essex area? Willing to drive a bit to get the job done right.

Thanks a million in advance

Also not heard of any of those concerns tbh.

I had my car fully tinted by Lussivo in Harlow when it was brand new, March 21. No issues to date.

Alternatively there is the rather famous place in Basildon, Dub Customs. They have done some very famous vehicles in the past and have glowing reviews. I wanted a few other things done at the same time which is why I ended up in Harlow, otherwise I think I would have gone with Dub.

I wish I kept reference of all the sources from this morning...for now I could only locate one: Tesla Model 3 Warning

I don't think its a completely isolated issue, I have seen 2 other reports of this. That said, this is the internet and without sources, they could just be parroting what they hear from elsewhere.

Interesting to note is in that thread someone alleges that Tesla were due to revise the connector to avoid the water pooling issue. Again, lacking sources so take it with a grain of salt. Having had my own electrical issues with my car and speaking to Tesla engineers though, they do frequently revise parts and its not always transparent when they are revised. Given the time between this thread and 2021 (your car), at least 1 revision seems almost guaranteed.

If my concern seems irrational...thats because it is. Its a huge abundance of caution from a sourceless thread on the internet. However at the risk of turning over £20k of car into a large paperweight I don't think its too unreasonable 🙃

Found a 2nd source with a little more information: CAUTION: Installing Windshield Film & Computer Problems

Oh I see its from having the windscreen tinted. That makes more sense, although anyone half competent could easily protect these areas and just not go ham with the spray bottle.

That said, I didn't have my windscreen done. Living out in Essex, I am willing to roll the dice on my windows but I think windscreen would be pushing my luck too much 🤣

Ah you are correct - I overlooked the fact it was a windscreen tint!

Never realised the legality of windscreen tints was such a gray area. I've no intention of "tricking my car out" (those days are behind me!) but I do think a black Model 3 with a subtle sunset chameleon tint on the front would look clean.

To illustrate, here is a candid picture of mine while I was getting new tyres. Looks very...inviting:

Closest I could find as a reference is a blue one over at London Tint Studio's website (I would forego the other mods, just window tints plus windscreen).
