Tesla app reporting incorrect location

My Model 3 was loaded on a car carrier yesterday and the location has not changed since. Reportedly the carrier is over 100 miles from the reportedly location. The app otherwise is reporting a current connection. Any ideas?

Quit the Tesla app and try again.

Known "bug". At the moment, the car doesn't update its location while off, so the car won't report anything but the last place it was parked until it it powered on again.

The only way to avoid this would be to increase the vampire drain a little by running the location services all the time (or some weird on demand power up version?) and Tesla hasn't felt the need so far.

Operating as designed, but reporting false information to the user. Hence "bug" in quotes.
