Tesla Debrief on current Connecticut Initiatives - Westport - 4/13

Will Nicholas, Tesla's Government Relations Manager, will be speaking about current initiatives—both company wide and specifically about Tesla legislative efforts in the state.

I was there last night and had a great time. I had never seen an X in person so it was awesome to be able to climb inside, take pictures, and see the doors open first hand. Huge thanks to the owner of the beautiful signature series that allowed us inside! Someone even had a roadster for show.

The second half was Will's talk. He was very well spoken and went through the whole history and reasoning for why Tesla chooses to use stores in a very logical and persuasive way. Unfortunately, even he admitted at the beginning of his talk that he would probably be "preaching to the choir from the gospel" but all the same it was great to hear it all put together in a cohesive speech.

The house rep from Westport was also in attendance and he was very much on the side of getting the law passed. Besides writing to our representatives and signing the petition it seemed there was very little we could do. It seemed not much would happen until near the end of the term (5/4) the legislature will be giving SB3 an up or down vote (both house and senate followed by Governor). There was even some fear some last minute restrictions may be slipped into it and very little we could do about that.

Everyone there (probably 50ish people) could not stop talking about how much they loved their Teslas and was working as hard as they could to convert family and friends.
