Tesla in Queensland, some questions

Hello everyone
I am new to this forum and I have a few questions I hope someone can answer.

Recently I saw a Black Model S with number plate "electric car" in Brisbane QLD Australia and I was wondering if the owner was a local or someone just passing through.
I've been following Tesla and Model S for years on forums and seen lots of pictures but it was quite exciting to see one on the road in my city.
It's a great looking vehicle.

That is not too important but I also recently noticed a position advertised with Tesla for a product specialist in Brisbane Australia.
As far as I know there is no Tesla dealership in Brisbane and what I was wondering is does anyone knows when and if that is likely to happen?

I think that position is for being at the local store, greet people, introduce the car to potential customer, take them on test drives, and inking the order, etc.

Hey DarylMc. Welcome to the forum!

I'm only new around here myself but happy to try to help. Tesla is building a Service Centre (as opposed to a dealership, the Service Centres are all Tesla O&O) in Brisbane but AFAIK they haven't announced when it will open. However given they have announced the Supercharger network will extend to Brisbane by the end of this year, it makes sense, to me at least, that they'd open a Service Centre there sometime this year.

looks like you can take one for a test drive, don't be afraid if you cannot afford it, they let me
have a go after I told them repeatedly that I cannot afford one!

I'm interested to have a closer look at Model S and show other people that electric cars have arrived.
Tesla has done such a great job to make their vehicles available here.
