Thank you! That's all going to depend on your age and driving record. I have USAA and pay about $60/month to insure my MYP.
That’s true but I figured a general survey might be interesting. They sell it like it’s always cheaper than legacy insurance companies.Too...many...variables for an accurate comparison.
Unless something has changed I don't believe you can get a quote through the Tesla app. I had to log into my Tesla account on a computer to get a quote. Tesla Insurance is also a different phone number than regular Tesla Support.I live in Virginia and cannot get a quote through the app. I even reinstalled the app, cleared cache, cleared data. Has anyone ran into this issue? Tesla rep did not know how to help me. Suggested I wait for a fix.
My MYLR is in delivery for April 30th, so I do have time.
In pre-delivery -> Continue -> Insurance -> View (It shows Geico right now) -> Get Tesla Insurance Quote -> Opens tesla.com/insurance -> Get Insurance -> Redirects to App -> Get Tesla Insurance Quote. And we loop...
Insurance | Tesla has a "Get Insurance" button that redirects to the app store.Unless something has changed I don't believe you can get a quote through the Tesla app. I had to log into my Tesla account on a computer to get a quote. Maybe its a little different for me since I already have Tesla Insurance, but I see where you're pointing to under Delivery Tasks. When it initially pointed me to the App Store, the app had an Update button that I promptly applied. Since then, it now redirects me to Account in my Tesla app where I have an option for Insurance (which is an option I've had in previous app versions as well). Have you tried logging into your Tesla account via a computer to see if you can get a quote that way?Insurance | Tesla has a "Get Insurance" button that redirects to the app store.
"Sign up through the Tesla app and get insurance that rewards you for safe driving behavior."
I think you have to wait until you have a VIN number to tie it to.I live in Virginia and cannot get a quote through the app. I even reinstalled the app, cleared cache, cleared data. Has anyone ran into this issue? Tesla rep did not know how to help me. Suggested I wait for a fix.

Pretty sure your correct. To apply for insurance it has to be done via the computer site as the phone app is pretty much dormant till a vin is assigned and active.I think you have to wait until you have a VIN number to tie it to.
Yeah I have VIN. Got it 4/14. Delivery scheduled on 4/18 for 4/30. I got stuck in the loop with VIN on app. Android here. Last resort is to use a friend's iPhone.I live in Virginia and cannot get a quote through the app. I even reinstalled the app, cleared cache, cleared data. Has anyone ran into this issue? Once I get a quote I will post it here. Already compared a few. In order of cheapest first with same coverage: Progressive, Geico, and then Statefarm. Last time Geico matched Progressive thought YMMV.As part of your Comprehensive (other than Collision) coverage, Tesla provides you with glass coverage for the repair or replacement of any damaged glass, including the windshield, side windows and rear window.
Yeah they definitely changed everything. I just realized I can't access my Tesla Insurance account from a computer now either, they're forcing you to do everything through the app now....I logged into Tesla on computer, went to Tesla insurance desktop site, and even on a computer it redirects me to install phone app. I have a week till scheduled delivery, so I'll just be patient and wait for a fix. I think I have tried everything on phone app, computer site, phone web browser site, and a combination of them. Nothing works. A few of my coworkers are in the same boat...
Yes it does, I asked about this when updating my coverage.Does anyone know if Tesla Insurance covers if I go on vacation and get a rental car? I can’t seem to find the info anywhere, my current policy does and may sway my decision. Looking like I would save about $44/month with Tesla.
