Tesla isn't an auto maker, it's a battery company

Like others here, I had this same realization after watching JB's talk at that energy symposium in the video scaesare linked. I look forward to seeing how this all plays out in the next few years!

Has anyone had good experience with Solar City? I found them unwilling to work with anything but a composition shingle roof and much higher pricing per kW AC than others.

I had a great experience with Solar City as did the several other friends who had them install solar on their homes. I can't fault them on any score.

Watching the recent California energy commission meeting video where Elon and Lyndon was in attendance, I believe that Solar City is also following the route of Tesla Motors/Energy in making their products look good. It was discussed that a solar system on a house should improve the looks of the home instead of detracting from it.

I've had the same positive experience with Solar City in my region. Professional, on-time, and everything works great.
