Tesla Model X app on iPhone

I log into my Tesla app on my iPhone. I go to notifications, and check Charging Started and Charging Complete buttons. Charging interrupted was already checked. Then I signout of the app. Much to my surprise it says that I will lose my settings and all stored data. I signout and then sign back in. Sure enough, my Charging Started and Charging Complete buttons have been unchecked. When you logout of any application, it usually saves any new settings. What am I missing? Thanks.

Probably as simple as...

Don't *sign out*?

I never sign out, just close the app. I do also have Face ID turned on on my iPhone X though.
