Tesla Press Conference at 2011 Detroit Auto Show

This YouTube Video of Tesla press conference differs from the Vimeo video of the same press conference. This video is 19 minutes in length and includes an introduction by V.P Reyes as well as a Q&A period after V.P. Rawlinson's presentation not seen in the Vimeo. The camera angle also better displays the background video of Model S Alpha traversing some back roads.

Awesome. When he's talking about the 45 min quick charge at 16:42, what does he say? He says something then 480. I know he's talking about DC fast charge but couldn't understand what he said. It is go confirmation that it will be an option at least. Why didn't anyone ask if the J1772 plug would be on the car.

Why didn't anyone ask if the J1772 plug would be on the car.

How daft would they be not to put on the US standard? By the end of this year there will be more J connectors than all charge stations now in operation combined.

I believe that he was referring to the voltage of the fast charge, 480V...
