I'm looking for some tips if anyone has been in my situation. I bought a second hand model 3 from a reputable dealer a couple weeks ago, but we have been having major issues getting the car into my Tesla account.
After having spoken to Tesla Customer Service, it turns out the dealer made a single letter typo when transferring ownership and the car is sitting in a new account that no one owns or has access to.
Whist this can't be the first time someone has made a typo at this stage of the process, the customer service can't seem to figure out a method to transfer it to my account. They have tried 2 different methods (proof of ownership and merging accounts) but both seem to need some sort of verification from the account no one owns. Was told yesterday they were working a few different options yesterday afternoon and it should be in by end of day, but woke up this morning and nothing. Whilst the customer support people have been very helpful, it seems like my car is currently in a digital hole.
Any thoughts or tips from your experience would be welcome.
