Thanks Doug. I have a Model S reservation, so when my number comes up I'll likely decide to go ahead with the purchase or not based on whether there is an Ottawa service center. I should probably let Tesla know that this is my thinking.

Obviously can't make a major decision like that based on a single sale, but I guess it's not a bad idea to put in a vote for it.

For what it's worth, I'm a Tesla owner in Ottawa, and despite the service people being in Toronto I've been very happy with the service I have received. The guys are knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and more than willing to go well beyond the call of duty.

I even had a minor repair (replace tire sensor) done under warranty at a local shop, by prior arrangement. No charge.
